Access to test licenses

Create test licenses to verify your integration, demonstrate how your integration works with the Milestone Product Portfolio, and to test and maintain your integration over time. Test licenses can be created by the Technology Partner in the Customer Dashboard via the Partner Portal. The number of test licenses granted to each Technology Partner may vary depending on tier allocation.

Access to Milestone Technical Support

Get expert help when you need it worldwide through License Chat, Support Community, or phone support. Support levels range from requests that can be resolved through existing documentation, use of diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, all the way up to developer-level engagement and even escalation outside the Technical Support team, including third-party vendors. 

Lead generation through Technology Partner Finder

Your integrations appear on our Technology Partner Finder, complete with lead generating contact forms, connecting you directly with the whole Milestone Channel Partner network. For more information, see its Terms & Conditions

Individual Sessions with Milestone software architects

Schedule one-on-one sessions with our senior software architects to optimize your integration.

Dedicated Technology Partner Manager

Work closely with your assigned Technology Partner Manager to create meaningful business growth. They will be your main Milestone point of contact, directly responsible for quarterly business reviews and annual joint business plans. Alliance Partners will be followed regionally and globally. Select Partners will have a more regional focus, working with a Regional Technology Partner Manager.

Feature in Milestone Experience Centers

Submit your integration for potential placement in Milestone Experience Centers, which are inspirational centers designed to demonstrate the potential of video technology. Milestone will approve integrations based on regional relevancy and technical characteristics. 

Feature in internal promotion activities

Present your solutions directly to our sales organization through webinars and demo sessions. Through these, you can explain your solutions in detail and Milestone will be able to go to market with the right solutions for the right use cases. 

Regional marketing initiatives

Collaborate on targeted marketing activities including webinars, commercial campaigns and events. Each marketing activity will follow outcomes from joint account planning and are based on the engagement level of each partner.

Dedicated Technology Alliance Marketing Manager 

Work closely with a strategic Marketing Manager dedicated to our top tier Alliance Partners to create and execute joint marketing initiatives that drive mutual growth and expand market reach.

The Technology Partner Program comes with requirements that must be met from enrollment.

Requirements

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions 

The Milestone Technology Program Terms and Conditions must be accepted by the identified company headquarters at the time of enrollment, thus covering the company at a global level. Any subsidiary that has a pre-existing relationship with Milestone will need to be listed via an addendum provided to the Program and will be bound by the same Program Terms and Conditions. 

Installed Integration Insights 

Installed Integration Insights (III) is a tool that allows Milestone to capture data points about the Partner’s integrations through the embedding of identification information within the Partner’s integration source code. Through III, Milestone will capture the following data points: 

  • Manufacturer name and integration name, which are identifiers that specify the integration’s origin and purpose. 
  • Integration usage statistics, including version details of the integration. 
  • Environment details, specifically information about the XProtect version used. 

Embedding the III code will be required by Milestone for all software and third-party driver integrations, specifically: 

  • MIP plugins (including driver framework, access control and Transact) 
  • Standalone (component) integrations 
  • Protocol integrations 

During the Verification Phase, proof that the III code has been embedded in the integration’s source code is required for software and third-party driver integrations. The Milestone Verification team must also receive the exact manufacturer name, and the integration name used in the code. Milestone allows opting out of III tracking only when explicitly requested in writing by the end user. 

Verification 

At least one integration needs to be successfully verified for you to be admitted into the Milestone Technology Partner Program. Successful verification includes receipt of the Milestone Partner Badge and identification as an official Milestone Technology Partner.  

Technology Partner Finder listing & maintenance 

When an integration is successfully verified, the partner will create a product page on the Milestone Technology Partner Finder. Please note that this is a requirement of the Program, and a page needs to be created shortly after completion of verification and then maintained with up-to-date content and available documentation, so that all Technology Partner Finder users, such as Channel Partners or end-users, can always rely on the information published on the mentioned pages. Please refer to Technology Partner Finder Terms & Conditions for more detailed information. 

Technical support 

Technical support is required from Milestone Technology Partners when an issue arises in connection with an installation where both one of Milestone’s products and the partner integration are deployed. 

  • Alliance (Tier 1) and Select (Tier 2) Partners must attest that they can provide Level 1 and 2 technical support, which includes providing advanced technical assistance for complex issues, in-depth product knowledge and troubleshooting expertise to diagnose and resolve intricate problems that require specialized skills and analysis. 
  • Verified (Tier 3) Partners must attest that they can provide Level 1 technical support with first-level assistance for basic technical issues and inquiries, including initial point of contact, troubleshooting common problems, and answering frequently asked questions. 

Business plan 

Alliance (Tier 1) and Select (Tier 2) Partners will create business plans collaboratively with their dedicated Milestone Technology Partner Manager by defining pipeline and business objectives for the year ahead. Quarterly review of the business plan will contribute to annual review partner engagement and performance to confirm tier assignments within the program. While only one business plan will be created for each partner, all subsidiaries agree to produce the outcome of the business plan, regardless of how many subsidiaries are listed in the agreement. 

Verified (Tier 3) Partners are not required to conduct business planning within the program; however, business planning resources are provided in the Partner Portal, and may be used to demonstrate their level of engagement with Milestone.

Working with our team, your integration will be verified to check it meets our guidelines, and that every solution delivers real value to our customers.

Once your integration has been verified, you will gain access to Milestone's market-ready resources and collaborative strategies, maximizing visibility and impact.
