Securitas Systems is demonstrating Milestone XProtect open platform IP video software at the Elfack security show taking place this week in Goteborg, Sweden, in booth G02:18. The two companies have been stepping up their alliance in the past year, to the benefit of customers wanting to make the transition to IP video surveillance.
In late 2005, Securitas Systems AB signed a partner agreement contract with Milestone Systems to be a reseller and Systems Integrator of XProtect IP video surveillance software. Since then, training and support on the new technology was established. Interest levels are growing fast in the Nordic market, as elsewhere in the world: many people want integrated network technology to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness in their security system installations.
Milestone Systems is the world's leading provider of open platform IP video surveillance software, according to IMS Research and Frost & Sullivan market analysts. The open architecture of the XProtect software enables integration with other security systems like access control and Point Of Sale or Automatic Teller Machine transaction data. Milestone software also allows the widest choice in network video hardware, with support for more than 260 equipment models from over 30 manufacturers.
At the Elfack show, Securitas Systems will be demonstrating XProtect Enterprise with megapixel cameras - a very high performance combination.
"Securitas Systems wants to embrace IP technology for video surveillance and therefore chose Milestone Systems. Their XProtect software is an open platform from which we can build the best-of-breed security solutions for our customers, to reap many benefits from interoperability with our other security offerings," says Mr. Per Edsmar, Marketing Manager, Securitas Systems Sverige AB.
"Milestone Systems is very pleased to be working with Securitas Systems, one of the leading security systems integrators. Their vast network of installed customers want only the best in their surveillance implementations – and IP video is the way of the future," says Gabriel Rudback, Sales Manager at Milestone Systems.
