Attend the Milestone Solutions & Developers Forum

Be part of the historical conversion in physical security with IP integrations.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, 16 November 2005.

Milestone Systems, the market leader for IP video surveillance software, announces their first-ever Milestone Solutions & Developers Forum. The event includes illustrious industry speakers and presentations, and will take place at the Fontainebleau Resort Miami Beach, 9-10 February, 2006.

Milestone Systems is taking the initiative to gather the industry’s most forward-thinking people for a first-ever Solutions and Developers Forum. In the spirit of the open platform that Milestone IP software products encompass, the event will focus on networking and sharing information with their business and technology partners on integrated solutions that exist today, those that are in the works, and those they can create in the future.

Technology and solution providers on the cutting edge are actively seeking ways to be part of the historical conversion taking place in the physical security sector: the incorporation of networking concepts from the IT world of software. Integrating previously discrete security and business systems allows for tremendous efficiencies and improved functionality that was not thought possible before. The open platform design of Milestone Systems XProtect IP video surveillance software provides the optimal foundation, which a number of partners are beginning to integrate with their solutions for access control, Point-of-Sale systems, ERP and many other business processes.

Such integrated solutions will be presented at the Milestone Solutions & Developers Forum 2006. The company’s key management will host the affair, and the Chief Developer will walk through a comprehensive Milestone Application Program Interface Software Development Kit (API/SDK) and talk about Security Operating Center Solutions. John Moss, the Founder and CEO of S2 Security Corporation (previously at Software House) will present IP-based access control and management integration with Milestone. Paul Leskinen, the Chief Developer at Transact Payment Systems, will show a customized viewer for XProtect Enterprise that is useful in financial applications. Steve Surfaro, Senior Manager at Panasonic, will illustrate retail loss prevention solutions. Fredrik Nilsson, General Manager of Axis Communications Inc., will enlighten participants on the future of IP cameras. Last but not least, Jim Gompers, a well-known security industry guru, will share his expertise while moderating an Industry Roundtable called ‘IP Video Solutions for the Future’.

"The valuable knowledge gleaned at the Milestone Solutions & Developers Forum 2006 will enable our partners to increase business options for growing their market share," states Lars Thinggaard, President and CEO at Milestone Systems. "The future with IP integration will stem from a core of open platform software, so here is an event to help learn how to make the most of it."
