COPENHAGEN, Denmark, 13 March 2007
Milestone Systems, the world market leader for open platform IP video management software, continues to expand its organization by adding Martin Kaufmann as the Channel Marketing Manager.
Milestone Systems will further develop its partner channel in 62 countries with new initiatives across key regions. Based out of the company headquarters in Copenhagen, Martin Kaufmann will be responsible for handling Milestone partner programs worldwide, as well as events in EMEA and APAC.
A graduate of the Copenhagen Business School, Kaufmann brings more than fifteen years of experience in international sales, marketing and training in business-to-business activities, including positions at IBM, Canon and Thrane & Thrane. He has managed strategic and tactical marketing and sales projects including channel partner programs and initiatives such as conferences, seminars, events and sales promotion activities.
"Martin Kaufmann joins Milestone with a proven track record in channel marketing in exactly the right areas where we plan to increase focus," comments Henrik Friborg, Co-Founder and VP Strategic Alliances at Milestone Systems. "He will help us to further develop and strengthen our all-important partner programs for resellers, integrated solution providers, and manufacturers."
"I am really excited to be joining Milestone, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the company’s phenomenal success," says Martin Kaufmann. "The first job is to organize the next global partner conference to be held here in Copenhagen in September."
Milestone now holds two such international partner events every year: one in Florida in February and another in Denmark in September. Last month's 3-day forum in Miami was the biggest ever with 150 participants from 20 countries, including representatives and speakers from a dozen leading security manufacturers and vendors. These conferences also include certification training on the newest versions of Milestone IP video software.
Milestone Systems is the world market leader for open platform IP video surveillance software, according to IMS Research two years in a row. The XProtect solutions support the widest choice in network hardware: over 260 models from 30+ manufacturers. In addition, Application Program Interfaces (APIs) enable value-adding integration with other systems data and devices. Sold through a channel of authorized partners in 62 countries, the software is reliable and robust, proven in more than 25,000 installations.
