Danish software success in 150 countries

The article focuses on the history of Milestone Systems and the software company’s leading position in the video management software (VMS) market. “One of the main reasons for Milestone Systems having a global share of the VMS market of 9.1 per cent is that the company has tackled the transition from analogue technology to digital IP-based technology.”
 
Hans Jørgen Skovgaard explains: “Compared to some of our competitors, Milestone Systems focused on IT technology at an early stage, which is beneficial to us now as the VMS market is growing rapidly.”
 
This is particularly applicable outside the traditional surveillance and security segment; video combined with Internet of Things, for example, is increasingly applied in segments such as manufacturing.
 
The articles goes on: “Milestone Systems aims to continue the positive development and increase its annual revenue by minimum 20 per cent. In comparison, the global VMS market increased by an average of 10 per cent in the last three years.”
