Milestone Protects The National Archives of UAE

The National Archives of the United Arab Emirates is responsible for collecting, preserving, researching and documenting the history and heritage of the UAE and the Gulf region. It houses a collection of valuable, historical material of public and scientific relevance. Many of the items stored are irreplaceable, including maps, photographs, documents and books, which are preserved in highly controlled environments.

Milestone XProtect Corporate® VMS manages and controls the system, which can be viewed from a number of remote locations and monitored centrally.

Prestigious application

The new security system is a success. Mr Fadi El Khoury, Head of Technical Support at the National Archives commented, “In a prestigious application like this one, it is essential that no cameras fail, as this would compromise site security and put priceless, irreplaceable artifacts at risk. The National Archive is now exceptionally well-protected and any incident or potential risk can be addressed appropriately and immediately.”
