Unique CyGOS™ surveillance solution designed for difficult-to-monitor locations
DALLAS, TEXAS – MARCH 15, 2010. Cyber Group, Inc., a global provider of engineering solutions, announced today that it will be demonstrating its patent pending PSIA compliant CyGOS™ Security Modules at ISC West. Cyber Group, Inc. is a Milestone Systems, Inc. Solution Partner and CyGOS™ will be featured at the Milestone Solutions Center Showcase in booth 11051.
Milestone Systems, Inc. Distribution Manager - Americas, Reinier Tuinzing extended a personal invitation to Cyber Group Inc. stating:
“There are 3 reasons Milestone would like CyGOS featured in our Center Showcase:
• You’re not just another camera;
• Running Ethernet over the installed power (not to be confused with POE) is a unique and innovative solution;
• CyGOS is PSIA compliant.”
Cyber Group, Inc. is also a member of the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) and CyGOS will be featured in PSIA’s Technology Demonstration at ISC West.
CyGOS solution demonstration schedule at ISC West:
- Milestone Solutions Center Showcase in Booth 11051
- PSIA Technology Demonstration at the Sands Conv. Ctr. Room 803, Mar. 25th 3-5pm
CyGOS provides incremental surveillance capability and revenue opportunity for System Integrators and VARs. It is an ideal solution for integrators and value added resellers (VARs) because it extends their existing video and audio surveillance solutions suite into locations that until now have been difficult to monitor because of infrastructure constraints.
Retrofit existing electrical infrastructure inside commercial sites for IP surveillance
CyGOS is retrofitted inside the existing electrical infrastructure of commercial sites to provide Internet Protocol (IP) based video, audio, and control information for enterprise class IP-based security systems. Furthermore, installations are carried out without extensive modification or downtime of the area in need of surveillance.
IT-friendly; easily plugs into existing surveillance; requires minimal bandwidth
CyGOS is scalable, and includes video and audio sensors. Each module is comprised of multiple computers to handle H.264 video compression, IP video and 2-way sound communications over existing AC power lines. CyGOS sensor and transmitter assemblies are embedded inside the existing fixtures. One CyGOS Receiver assembly is installed inside the Circuit Breaker room, to provide multiple PSIA-compliant IP video streams to be integrated with the IP security system on the site.
“Integrators and VARs are the backbone of the IP surveillance market. Video and audio surveillance users rely on them to provide end-to-end solutions. CyGOS will help them better enable their customers to see and hear in places they currently cannot,” said Tom Hulsey, Director of Field Operations for Cyber Group. “And, at the same time CyGOS provides them with an incremental revenue opportunity.”
“Today, with all the video/audio surveillance technology available, we found there are still locations like prison cells, psychiatric wards, suicide watch rooms, nurseries, parking garages and others that need monitoring, but installation is difficult due to infrastructure constraints and wireless does not effectively work. However, these locations all have light fixtures and AC power lines,” said Bhopi Dhall, Founder and CEO of Cyber Group. “Our vision was to create a reliable solution that exploits the existing electrical infrastructures.”
