COMPUTERLINKS is currently the only specialist IT security distributor to have signed agreements with two of the leading developers of IP-based physical security technologies. The move is part of COMPUTERLINKS' strategy to be the leading specialist distributor for data and physical security convergence solutions following publication of its annual reseller survey earlier this year, which showed that over 60% of its partners are looking to exploit this emerging market, which is estimated to grow to $2.4 billion by 2012 according to IMS Research.
Consultants from COMPUTERLINKS' IP-based physical security will initially offer site surveys and training to help IT security resellers build expertise and skills sets around IP surveillance technology and so gain an early entry into the market. By complementing the hardware with open platform IP video management software, COMPUTERLINKS is now able to offer the channel a full portfolio of IP surveillance security products and services.
