Samsung Techwin Alliance With Milestone

Samsung Techwin joins the Milestone Manufacturers Alliance Program

Samsung Techwin has joined the Milestone Systems’ Manufacturers Alliance Programme.

This initiative will facilitate cooperation between the two companies to develop Milestone XProtect support for Samsung Techwin’s network surveillance products.

During 2008 Samsung Techwin will be introducing a wide range of innovative IP cameras and other network CCTV products which will provide customers with the ability to take full advantage of the benefits offered by Video  over IP. Milestone’s powerful software platform will complement these new products to ensure that Samsung Techwin’s customers can achieve a truly integrated security solution.

David Hammond, General Sales Manager for Samsung Techwin’s CCTV division in Europe said: “Samsung Techwin are delighted to have established a close working relationship with Milestone Systems, a world market leader for open platform IP video management software.  Milestone shares our ambition to be at the leading edge of technology and our partnership will deliver substantial benefits to our mutual customers.”

Under the partnership agreement, customers of Samsung Techwin network cameras will have the opportunity to use Milestone XProtect management software with a free one-camera license that will be included in the camera packages.  They will therefore be able to experience the powerful features and easy-to-manage user interface currently enjoyed by more than 35,000 Milestone customers worldwide.

“Samsung Techwin has recently revolutionized the traditional CCTV market by launching a new line of cameras based on their innovative yet very competitive DSP technology. Milestone is convinced that Samsung Techwin will also become a very strong player in the IP camera world and are therefore an ideal strategic partner for Milestone," says Henrik Friborg, VP Strategic Alliances and co-founder of Milestone Systems.
