Satisfying result in a difficult year

April 08, 2021
Our CEO Thomas Jensen sat down with Denmark’s leading financial paper Børsen to discuss Milestone’s Annual Report 2020.
Despite a decrease of 1% compared with the previous year, Milestone’s net revenue amounted to DKK 1 billion in 2020, which, according to Thomas Jensen, is “a very satisfactory result considering the impact of the pandemic on 2020 […].” Moreover, Milestone increased its R&D investments by 11 per cent and welcomed 69 new headcounts.

Thomas Jensen brings out two elements that were significant to the annual result. First and foremost, Milestone’s employees. It was crucial for Milestone to avoid restructuring while supporting its people - keeping them motivated and feeling included as part of the team. To support this, Milestone launched several initiatives to ensure a balance between working hours and family time.

Another crucial element was Milestone’s ability to adapt to the new normal by quickly changing its way of running the company and helping partners sustain their business by moving partner training online.

Thomas Jensen expects 2021 to become another growth year, stressing that Milestone’s people and their well-being will continue to have priority: “People create technology, not the other way around,” concludes Thomas Jensen.
