Overview
Zao Server - Secured live video transmission from drones or in-vehicle cameras to HQ over 5G/4G/PS LTE networks
Soliton's Zao products are utilized as part of a mobile surveillance solution to enable encrypted live streaming over multiple 5G 4G cellular connections, or satellite or wifi, back to a command and control center. They are used by law enforcement and other emergency and security services to live stream from drones, cars, motorbikes and body-worn action cams back to a command and control center. Each Zao Server solution combines a management platform for remotely managing units in the field and provides up to 12 simultaneous channels of ONVIF compliant video that can be connected to Milestone XProtect. Zao Server can be installed in the cloud or on-prem at the destination and is installed within a virtualized server environment which can be in a closed network. The Zao solutions are H.265 HEVC based which gives high reliability, even in challenging 4G environments, providing broadcast-quality full HD at low latency. Latency can be set between 240ms and 30 seconds, typically 700ms.Key features
- Use any camera: Drones, drones with thermal cameras, action cameras, helmet cameras, hidden cameras, in-vehicle cameras, and/or smartphone cameras.
- Use any connection: Live streaming over multiple 5G / 4G / Public Safety LTE networks with bonding, load balancing, packet sort, and error correction.
- Technologies: H.265 / HEVC codec and Soliton's RASCOW protocol to optimize video transmission settings based on the dynamic mobile network bandwidth
- Security: AES 256-bit encryption and authentication. Latency: Ultra-Low latency (as low as 50ms) while providing reliable HD quality live streams
- Usability: The world's smallest H.265 bonding encoder with 350 grams of weight and small size including battery and it works with external cameras.
