Lake Oswego, OREGON – January 16, 2019. Milestone Systems, the global leader for open platform IP video management software (VMS), has been continuing its expansions – both physically and in its staffing for the Americas region over the last half year. With an organizational focus on supporting the success of its multi-faceted partner community, hiring new people and promoting internally translates to exciting careers.
Personnel growth requires more space, and Milestone had outgrown its offices in Mexico city and Beaverton, Oregon, after a dozen years of expanding over several floors. In November 2018 the company moved its Mexico office to bigger space and its U.S. site to customized top-floor facilities just off the I-5 interstate south of Portland. Nestled in the Kruse Woods corporate area of Lake Oswego’s evergreens, the new location has room for further scaling in future beyond almost 100 employees currently (more staff are spread across the U.S., Canada and Latin America).
A spacious tech room is in the works for demos and beta testing of new security devices and integrated solutions while conference rooms, meetup spaces and private phone areas complement a balance of bright desk pods with glass-walled offices. A large kitchen overlooking the hills and treetops brings employees together over coffee or munching. Hydraulic desks allow easy movement between sitting and standing throughout the day, and a monthly masseuse and game room offer rejuvenation.
On January 7th Pamela Wilson began as Director of Sales Operations, Americas. Her leadership will drive the Milestone Partner Service & Support teams, including Lead Generation to feed our partners and help ensure successful business outcomes. Pamela comes from the Xerox Corporation where her career spanned fourteen years, most recently as Director of Inside Partner Operations, US Channels Group. She was recognized in 2018 when CRN honored women with notable channel expertise and vision: https://wotc.crn.com/wotc2018-details.htm?w=640.
Aaron Jones, Daniel Valdovinos, Myke Thompson and Eric McGuire have joined Partner Activation, each internally supporting sales activities in different territories. Alexandra Gigantiello was hired for Partner Service & Sales Support, as well.
At the end of July 2018 two new Support Professionals joined the Americas Tech Support team: Shawn Lietz came to Milestone from working with desktop support at Nike and Bonneville Power Administration, Andrew Watson joined the Technical Support Americas team last summer, then Art McConneha in October. Hector Garza joined the Technical Support Team based in Mexico.
Software developer Matthew Angelle came on board in the Custom Development Americas team, and is working on key projects. He was a Software Design Engineer over five years at Tektronix, after an internship at Intel.
Milestone’s Global Sales Operation organization ensures that every sales team has the best conditions for success through better tools, programs, training, knowledge, processes and innovation. To keep this in focus, Matt Fishback is now building up the Sales Excellence team that will include Sales Training (The Sales Academy), Partner Business Review program, Go-To-Market onboarding program, and Strategic/Tactical Projects.
Greg Willmarth is now head of the Competitive Intelligence team with the responsibility to build up a new tool for our Go-To-Market teams, the Global Bid Desk program (including A&E) and Strategic/Tactical Projects. He moved out of his role in Learning & Performance where he played an instrumental role in defining and building the knowledge, training and certification process over the past four years.
Evan Stuckless has been promoted to take over management of the global Learning & Performance group under the newly named Learning Experiences Team, who now work together with Technical Communication & Localization. They will aim to transform the design of knowledge transfer interactions for end users, system integrators and technology partners. Whether using, installing, configuring or integrating with the technology, Milestone wants to make the experience easy, efficient and enjoyable.
Armand Steffens began three years ago at Milestone as a Channel Business Manager for South Africa and in 2017 became the Country Manager for Africa, building up that region with new growth. With passion, focus and his strong skill set, he begins 2019 in the Milestone U.S. team as a Channel Business Manager for North Texas, based out of Dallas. This process was started two years ago in a development discussion about Armand’s career and illustrates how Milestone has the size and power to develop people professionally, to move internally and between different regions.
Oliver Hernandez has started as an Inside Solutions Engineer based in the Oregon office. He began at Milestone as a Support Professional in the Technical Support team in November 2017. Previously he was technical manager at Ready Distribution, in charge of IT and technical support.
Keinan Miller has transitioned from his previous role in Technical Support to Instructional Designer on the Learning & Performance team. He has been working with the Learning & Performance team to develop interactive troubleshooting guides and will continue to target performance support tools that help our partners fix and avoid installation and operational issues in a more self-reliant way.
Megan McHugh has moved from communications of the Learning & Performance department to be Marketing Manager for the Global Marketing Team, Regions. She will help drive a major project execution in all three world regions as well as other activations. Meg has been with Milestone for 6 years, having started as a Marketing Intern in the Americas.
