LiDAR is a very great technology. Nothing is more accurate than LiDAR for people counting, high-end detection, tracking, classification and data management. It provides also data compliant with GDPR. In combination with SAIMOS software, we are able to bring LiDAR technology to a higher level by bringing map management, PTZ object tracking and accurate data management with dashboard feature. This is very impressive to have all this package working with Milestone.
With SAIMOS LiDAR, high counting accuracy can be achieved for people counting, as well as high detection accuracy with a low false alarm rate for perimeter protection. In addition, PTZ object tracking with object visualisation on a map can be implemented in combination with the SAIMOS Control Center. Our customers, as well as ourselves, were convinced by the advantages of weather independence as well as the 100% data protection, since no personally identifiable information is generated by the sensors. Even in the price segment, LiDAR technology scores due to the large coverage versus a high number of cameras and/or low-range detectors based on other technologies.
