Overview
SureStream - Don't sweat server failures - Prevents heart attacks when there is catastrophic server failure. A must for critical infra.
The barebones requirements to view live video are a functioning camera, a functioning network, and a functioning client machine. Ideally, if this need is met, users must be able to view live video in an inexpensive manner, without dependence on any other components. SureStream enables XProtect to do this.SureStream is an XProtect plugin that enables all Smart Clients, once authenticated, to receive unicast/multicast live streams directly from cameras, bypassing recording servers. Recording and management server failures have no impact on live video.
It is thus a live video underwriting mechanism in an XProtect installation. Provides peace of mind to security operators that worry about catastrophic surveillance loss due to server failure.
It requires no additional hardware.
