Arcules uses a subscription licensing model based on the number of connected cameras and sensors (channels) in your deployment. Arcules subscriptions are available in 1, 3 and 5-year terms to support different purchasing and budgeting requirements. As your security requirements evolve, additional devices can be added without replacing your existing system.

Arcules supports three main deployment models: gateway-based cloud storage, gateway-based edge storage, and Camera-to-Cloud (C2C), offering different balances of cloud connectivity, local storage, bandwidth usage, and hardware requirements. You can also mix and match deployment options for different sites.

Why aren't prices listed?

Milestone does not sell directly to customers. Instead, we sell through a network of authorized system integrators and resellers. As such, we legally cannot list any prices, because we do not set the final price. That said, if you need a quote, we can always coordinate with a local reseller.

Arcules is sold through a global network of authorized system integrators and resellers.

In addition to helping you purchase Arcules, your reseller can also support your deployment with services such as installation, configuration, project management, commissioning, training and ongoing licensing assistance.

All Arcules licensing must be purchased through a single reseller of your organization's choosing. Future licensing needs, including system expansions, are also managed through your selected reseller.

What subscription terms are available?

Arcules subscriptions are available in 1, 3, or 5-year terms to support different purchasing and budgeting requirements. Organizations can choose to pay upfront, annually, or monthly based on the payment structure that best fits their procurement process. An authorized Milestone partner can help you select the subscription term that's right for your organization.

Is support included in my subscription?

Yes, Arcules support is provided both by Milestone and your reseller. You can contact Milestone support via in-product chat, phone and email or by contacting your reseller.

A Milestone partner can help assess your organization's requirements, recommend the right configuration and provide a quote. All Arcules licensing must be purchased through a single reseller of your organization's choosing. Arcules subscriptions cannot be purchased from multiple resellers for the same organization.

How does my Arcules subscription renew?

Arcules subscriptions automatically renew for a one-year term at the end of the initial contract term. If you do not wish to renew your subscription, notice of cancellation must be submitted at least 30 days before your contract end date.

If you prefer a renewal term longer than 1 year, your reseller can help coordinate a longer subscription term to meet your organization's needs.

What counts as a channel?

Arcules licensing is based on the number of video channels in your deployment. In most cases, a camera represents a single channel. Therefore, multi-sensor cameras and multi-channel encoders are licensed based on the number of video streams they provide. An authorized Milestone partner can help determine the appropriate licensing for your deployment.

Can I expand my Arcules deployment over time?

Yes. Arcules is designed to scale as your organization's needs evolve. Additional cameras, sensors and cloud storage can be added over time, allowing you to expand your deployment without replacing your existing system. An authorized Milestone partner can help you determine the best approach as your requirements grow.

Can I reduce the number of licensed devices in my subscription?

Yes, but only during your subscription renewal. Requests to reduce the number of licensed channels must be submitted through your reseller at least 40 days before your contract expiration date.

Do I need a gateway for Arcules?

Not necessarily. Arcules supports both camera-to-cloud and gateway-based deployments, and the right approach depends on your environment and operational requirements.

Many deployments can connect cameras directly to the cloud without a gateway. However, some environments benefit from gateways, which connect supported cameras to the Arcules cloud and can provide capabilities such as video buffering or local storage.

An authorized Milestone partner can help determine the deployment model that's best suited to your organization.

What if I can't get ahold of my reseller?
