Add a generic event

Available functionality depends on the system you are using. See the Product comparison chart for more information.

Your system can analyze received TCP and/or UDP data packages, and automatically trigger events when specified criteria are met. This way, you can easily integrate your surveillance system with a range of external sources, for example access control systems and alarm systems.

Expand Advanced Configuration, then expand Events and Output. Right-click Generic Events > Properties.
In the Generic Event Properties window, click the Add button, and specify the relevant properties. For more information, see Generic event.
To add a timer event to the generic event, click the Add button.
Save your configuration changes by clicking Save in the yellow notification bar in the upper-right corner of the Management Application.
