Enter Bing Maps key or Google Maps key or client ID in Management Client

You can make a key available to multiple users by entering it for a Smart Client profile in Management Client. All users who are assigned to the profile will use this key.

If you want to use a different key, you can enter it in the Options dialog box in Smart Client. This requires that your system administrator has not locked the key in Management Client, and that the Follow server check box is not selected in Smart Client. The key in Smart Client is associated with your user account, and only you will use it.

Steps:

1. In Management Client, on the Site Navigation pane, click Smart Client Profiles.
2. In the Properties pane, select the Smart Client profile, and then click the Smart Map tab.
   • For Bing Maps, enter your key in the Bing Maps key field.
   • For Google Maps, enter the information you received for your Premium Plan in the Client ID for Google Maps and Private key for Google Maps fields.
3. Next, enter Bing Maps key or Google Maps private key and client ID in XProtect Smart Client.
