It is no longer possible to re-register your existing Essential license.

Will I be warned when my XProtect Essential license is expiring? You can always find the expiry date in the Management Application. You will also receive three email notifications before your license expires: one at 60 days prior, one at 30 days prior and one on the actual expiry day. The notification emails will be sent to the email address you used to register the license.

Once it is time to re-register your Essential license, we recommend you download the new Essential+ instead to make sure you run on the latest and most powerful technology from Milestone.

The free version of XProtect Essential supports up to 8 cameras.

The new Essential+ is also a free product. If you have already downloaded the previous Essential, we recommend that you uninstall it and download the new Essential+ instead.

As always, the new Essential+ uses the same user interfaces you are familiar with today so you are up and running in no time.
