Quantum VS4160 4U 288-960TB XProtect HCI Appliance - Ideal for XProtect environments with high camera counts, long retention periods, & limited budgets.
Quantum's VS4160 xProtect Appliance can be deployed as a Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) appliance, an NVR, or as a storage-only server.With up to 960TB storage and performance density in a 4U footprint, the VS4160 enables customers with high camera counts and long retention periods to build massive systems with minimal rack space and budgets.
The appliance offers maximum scalability, starting as small as 24 drives/288TB up to 60 drives/960TB.
Ideal for mission-critical environments, redundant, hot-swap components and multiple RAID6 sets protect recording uptime and recorded video against up to 10 drive failures. The unit also delivers maximum uptime with failover options for XProtect and other applications.
The VS4160 can be deployed standalone, as part of a highly available cluster, or with other Quantum products like GPU analytics servers or StorNext software. StorNext automatically archives & tiers video to cost-effective tape, shared disk arrays, or cloud providers.
Key features
- Density - 960TB storage & HCI performance density in a 4U delivers more cameras & storage per server, enabling massive systems in a minimal footprint.
- Scalability - The 4160 can be partially populated with 24 or 36 drives, with ability to scale up to 60 drives/960TB as requirements and budgets allow.
- Reliability - Redundant, hot swap components and multiple RAID6 sets protect uptime and recorded video against hardware failures and 10 drive losses.
- Failover - Multiple options for XProtect and other application failover to hot backup appliances to minimize the risk of downtime and video loss.
- Flexibility - Deploy standalone or with Quantum GPU analytics servers or StorNext software, which archives video to storage tiers like cloud or tape.
