As per June 1, 2022, Thomas Sundbøl Larsen will take the position as Vice President, Global Business Partnering & People Operations at Milestone Systems.
As the Milestone Systems organization grows increasingly diverse, the new VP Global Business Partnering & People Operations will be responsible for delivering strategic HR consultation to all areas of the business. This involves developing and guiding the vision, strategy and daily global operations of the HR Business Partner functions as well as the People Operations team
“I’m thrilled to welcome Thomas as new Vice President for such an important area of our people and culture operations. We were looking for a visionary leader who can ensure a high-quality of our HR services as well as position the area even stronger as a strategic advisory function within the company,” says Simon Thule Viggers, Chief People and Culture Officer in Milestone Systems.
Thomas comes with strong senior leadership experience within the HR area from companies like Shell and Microsoft, and most recently, he has held the position as Director & Head of People Development Partnering in Novo Nordisk.
Thomas Sundbøl Larsen, who resides north of the Copenhagen area and lives with Christina with whom he has three children, is very excited about the opportunity to join Milestone:
“Milestone has an aspiration of making the world see, which I find really inspiring: Helping people better understand and navigate the world they live in is ambitious and holds a lot of potential. On the technology side, Milestone’s open platform approach allows for so many partnering and growth opportunities. This puts innovation and agility right at the top of the people agenda and increases the need for operational excellence. Leading the HR Business Partners and People Operations means I will be working with both of these elements which for me is a strong pull factor,” says Thomas before concluding:
“Lastly, size matters: Having worked in large companies across different industries, I am really looking forward to joining Milestone and be part of a smaller and rapidly growing company with faster decision making and with an open, inclusive culture, putting people first. The latter means as much for my personal choice to join Milestone as I believe it does for many other employees in the talent marketplace today.”
