The ConvergenceTP (C2P) integration framework makes the Milestone XProtect® Smart Client the unified head-end solution for monitoring both 1D and 2D Barcode scanner metadata.
All barcode metadata is stored is linked time synchronous with all camera video that is recorded in XProtect.

C2P - Barcode Scanner Integrations with XProtect - The C2P Barcode Scanner integration provides a seamless integration into Milestone XProtect.

The ConvergenceTP (C2P) integration framework makes the Milestone’s XProtect® Smart Client the unified head-end solution for monitoring barcode scanner events.
As with all C2P integrations the barcode scanner metadata received is presented live as a video camera stream while also being stored time synchronized with all cameras connected to the Milestone XProtect system.
The C2P integration framework provides users with a variety of powerful tools for both real-time analytics as well as a powerful suite of forensic search, auditing and data mining tools for the stored barcode metadata captured.
The integration provides the user with a powerful Rules Engine that enables them to create simple or very detailed rules that can be used to output a unique procedure when a specific barcode is read as well as output a specific text form that the user can add a comment to that will be stored in the database with the barcode metadata. This comment is then available to be used as part of a search.

Real-Time user generated notifications. For example Product Recall messages can be displayed in XProtect in real-time as they are scanned.
