“We are proud to be part of an open platform community with technologies and solutions across the entire market for video management, including both hardware and software.

The Open Platform, as driven by Milestone Systems, is on its way to be the video platform of choicefor any solution and customer, anywhere in the world.

The World Economic Forum forecasts that more than one trillion sensors will be connected to the internet by 2022, taking the internet of things to the next level.

This kind of radical development requires a radical strategy.

It requires that we in the industry work together to maximize our potential, both commercially and technically.

That is why our product strategy for 2017-2018 is a platform strategy.

A platform strategy is different from a product strategy: It requires an external ecosystem to generate complementary product or service innovations.

Two of our focus area in executing this bold move are the tracks ‘co-created revenue and co-created innovation.

We aim to deliver platform integration development and technology insights to unlock the full potential of the developer community.

Below, we highlight some of the immediate initiatives on our ‘co-created innovation’ efforts to support and nurture technology innovation in the industry.

…And that’s where you come in.

We are currently working on a number of initiatives with and for you:

  • We invite you to be part of the Developer Advisory Board, helping qualify our overall integration framework, SDK and APIs and other co-development initiatives.
  • We will provide full SDK support for all platforms, functions and integrations, starting with mobile and video processing.
  • The new and improved Developer Forum is a channel for you to meet and share insights with your peers in the Developer Community.
  • When it comes to video-enabling IoT devices through metadata, we will present how we envision implementing support for IoT devices on top of our current metadata support, at MIPS in San Antonio, Texas

And this is just the beginning: Together with you, our developer community, we will work together to make the world see the true power of video.”
