XProtect LPR


XProtect LPR is license plate recognition (LPR) software that detects license plate information from vehicles around the world and links the license plate number with video. It is a simple way to control vehicle access, for example, for entrance/exit barriers, parking spaces and toll gates.

 XProtect LPR can send a notification when a certain license plate is detected, enabling user to quickly take action. Users can also define positive/negative lists that will initiate certain actions, such as opening a gate, which increases work productivity and can help automate tasks. XProtect LPR is an add-on product that is seamlessly configured and managed through the supported XProtect® video management software (VMS) products.

Are customers driving away without paying for fuel?

XProtect LPR is an ideal solution for gasoline chains. Using negative lists and third-party integrations, the system can automatically close a gasoline pump if the same blacklisted vehicle license plate is recognized at any station in the chain in the future.

Parking lot access

Does this car belong to an employee?

Instead of issuing toll collection devices such as smart cards or radio frequency identification (RFID) tags to each employee, XProtect LPR can automatically open a parking lot gate when a permitted license plate is detected, reducing costs and optimizing processes.

Law enforcement

Is this car a stolen vehicle?

Police cars driving with a mounted camera are notified if any vehicles with a license plate matching a stolen vehicle list are detected, enabling police to increase the retrieval rate of stolen vehicles and potentially capture auto thieves.
